Werner Bugl – Member of Executive Committee

Werner Bugl, Member of Executive Committee, has spent over four decades with global reinsurance leader, Munich Reinsurance Company, Germany. His postings in Latin America and Asia for a period of over 30 years in various high executive positions gained him vast experience in the management of life and non-life (re)insurance companies. As CEO of Munich Re’s three major Offices in Asia, his geographical mandates comprised ASEAN incl. Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan. Post-Munich Re, Werner was instrumental in 2003/4 in setting up and running PT. Asuransi MAIPARK Indonesia, a National Special Risk Reinsurer. The close association with Asia continued until 2012 with an engagement by start-up Asia Capital Reinsurance Company, Singapore. Werner serves currently on the International Advisory Board of Russian Reinsurance Company, Moscow, and as a member of a High-Level Advisory Board of the OECD, Paris.
